General Settings

Transurf offers a variety of personalization options, allowing you to customize your translation experience based on your habits and needs. This section introduces the configurations in general settings.

Settings Access

Access via Extension Popup:

  1. Click the Transurf icon in the browser toolbar
  2. Switch to "Settings" in the popup
  3. Enter the quick settings or advanced settings page

Access via Context Menu:

  1. Right-click anywhere on a webpage
  2. Select "Transurf - Settings"
  3. Open the settings page

Language Settings

Interface Language

Choose the display language for the Transurf interface:

Translation Language Preferences

Set the default target translation language, which will affect the default behavior of all translation features.

Select Target Language

  • Choose your most frequently used target language from the dropdown list
  • Supports over 100 languages
  • Includes popular languages such as Chinese, English, German, Russian, French, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, etc.

Language Detection Engine

  • Google/Microsoft/Baidu: Use language detection services from Google, Microsoft, Baidu
  • Local Detection: Use local language detection Recommended
  • Advantages: Local detection is faster and offers better privacy

Interface and Appearance

Customize the visual theme of Transurf to match your preferences:

Light Theme

  • Bright and clear interface
  • Suitable for daytime use
  • Reduces eye strain

Dark Theme

  • Dark background interface
  • Suitable for nighttime use
  • Saves battery power

Follow System

  • Automatically adapts to system theme settings
  • Consistent with the operating system
  • No manual switching required
